The 56-year-old country star contracted the virus last month, but she's revealed tests have shown it has now left her body, and she hailed her husband, Garth Brooks, as "literally Superman" as he managed to avoid the illness, despite sharing a living space.

Sharing a photo of her upcoming cookbook, 'Trisha's Kitchen', Trisha posted on Facebook: "Don't they say good news comes in 3s??!!

"1) I got the official news that I am covid negative. Thank you all for your love, support messages and sweet tweets!

"2) My incredible husband is literally Superman and never got covid - but still took all the precautions to keep everyone we know and love safe!

"3) Today I can finally share with you the cover of my new cookbook Trisha’s Kitchen. Garth said, good news begets good news, let’s share it with the world today and spread the love! Let me know what you think of the cover. You can get your copy September 28 (sic)"

Trisha has explained the book promotes "real recipes and simple ingredients" after she went back to basics while in lockdown over the last year.

She told People magazine: "I think I was really born for cooking in quarantine, because I was raised on the theory that simple is better.

"My pantry holds basics, staples that I use daily, so when we were faced with being home and not going to the grocery store, especially in the very beginning of the pandemic, I didn't panic.

"I knew I could make meals out of what I had in my freezer—I always keep frozen ground beef, steaks, pizzas—and dried goods like pasta and canned sauces."

Garth previously explained his wife discovered she had coronavirus after they were both tested when a member of their team had a positive test.

In a Facebook statement, he began: “The Queen and I have now tested twice. Officially, she’s diagnosed as ‘on her way out of the tunnel’ now, though, which I’m extremely thankful for.”

Due to the severe weather conditions in Tennessee, the pair had to delay getting tested by a week after they were exposed to the highly contagious respiratory illness.

Garth, 59, admitted he was concerned about the "long-term effect" coronavirus could have on his other half.

He continued: “Anyone who knows me knows my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together, and anyone who knows her knows she’s a fighter and she’s been doing everything right, so I know we’ll walk out the other side of this thing together.

“She’s tough. She’s stronger than me. If anyone asks, that’s [say a prayer] what you can do for her. That’s what I’m doing. Living with her, I sometimes take it for granted she’s one of the greatest voices in all of music, so the possible long-term effects on her concern me as her husband and as a fan.”
