Lil' Chris

Lil'Chris rose to fame on Rock School with gene Simmons. He has gone on to present his own TV show, Everybody Loves Lil' Chris and even turned his hand to game designing. Chris has created his own level for Playstation game SackBoy. We caught up with him to find out more.Hi Chris. Would you say Gene Simmons was your idol? He’s cool but Rock School was a long time ago for me...

Are you still in touch with him?
No, not really
Are you still in Hoax UK?
That ended 3 years ago!
There were a few problems on Rock School in the early stages and you walked out, what made you do that?
I can’t remember it was 4 years ago! I didn’t walk out though.
What's your new album all about? Is it a different sound to your first one?
Yeah, hugely different! It’s much more punky and a lot less squeaky!
How are you coping with your new found fame?
It’s great to finally be recognised after 4 years of hard work!

What are your future projects that you've got coming up?
Ummm... a holiday! I want to do a lot more on TV and get involved with another charity to keep me busy for next year too

How did you get involved with LittleBigPlanet?
PlayStation just asked if I wanted to be a part of the project because they know I’m a HUGE gamer, so it was easy to say yes! LittleBigPlanet is the most awesome game ever - on paper it doesn’t sound possible but there are literally no limits to what you can create. The fun really started for me when I started building my own LittleBigPlanet level - you can design and build any object you can think of! Even the game’s character Sackboy is customisable - you can put a picture of your face on him, make him into a zebra, there are literally no limits!

What is your level like?
It’s cold, dark and a little bit painful...it’s loads of fun but it’s pretty hard! The main theme is electricity and the level has loads of secret mazes, electric arrows that swing right above your head and spotlights everywhere. There’s also an electrified skull that tries to crush you which is pretty cool. My level is full of surprises! I think when people play it they’ll be amazed at all the secrets lurking in the darkness!

Where did you get inspiration for it?
I took inspiration from a guy I saw in the street dribbling on a pigeon and it just grew from there! But then I decided I needed to take a different route!

Who have your best and worst guests been on your T4 show?
I’d say the guests I enjoyed having on the show the most were Basshunter, Sugababes, Pink and Jack Osbourne. New Kids on the Block were a bit difficult, but they warmed up in the end - I think they were just jetlagged!
