Stalker DVD

Stalker, the blood chilling, edge of your seat psychological thriller written and directed by Martin Kemp is released on DVD on Monday 30 January 2012.

2011 was a big year for the former member of Spandau Ballet, having taken part in 71 Degrees North, the gruelling Arctic-based reality show he then went on to release Stalker, the labour of love he wrote and directed.

Kemp is no stranger to film, having starred in The Krays, the blockbuster film based on the lives and crimes of the British gangsters and later appearing in a string of Brit flicks.  Stalker, however, marks Martin’s first time behind the camera.

Stalker enjoyed a critically acclaimed release at selected cinemas in October and went on to sweep the board at The Scream Awards, picking up three coveted gongs.

The film, which has become a home-grown horror cult classic, won Best Feature Film, Best Director for Martin and Best Supporting Actor for Billy Murray at the UK’s largest horror awards.

Stalker is a mix of stunning locations, moody cinematography and strong performances from an impressive ensemble cast including; Colin Salmon (James Bond, Resident Evil, Prime Suspect), Billy Murray (Call of Duty, EastEnders, The Bill), Anna Brecon (Emmerdale) and Jane March (The Lover / Colour of Night).

March is on frighteningly twisted form, making her mark in a far darker way than in her sexy debut, The Lover, the controversial film that saw her dubbed the ‘Sinner from Pinner.’

Produced by leading UK indie studio Black & Blue Films (Elfie Hopkins, Strippers Vs Werewolves), which is owned by Kemp, Murray and Jonathan Sothcott; Stalker tells the tale of a famous novelist struggling with writers-block (Brecon) who retreats to the country to work on her new book having been menaced by a dark figure from her past; Stalker is a nail-biting thriller in the tradition of Single White Female and Misery.

Stalker is distributed by 4Digital Media and is released via national retailers on DVD from Monday 30 January 2012.
