It's April 1, so how could we not take a look at some of the hilarious celebrity pranksters, and the tricks they played on other celebrities and unexpecting victims over the years?

Here are our seven favourite.

Barney Harwood

If you’re young enough to remember Prank Patrol on CBBC, you’ll appreciate the legendary work of Barney Harwood.

Barney hosted the children’s television show, where kids could set their friends up and prank them on camera.

One half of our favourite celebrity couple, Ryan Reynolds, has a tendency to troll his wife, Blake Lively, online.

This is just one of the many times the Deadpool actor has wound up the Gossip Girl actress on Instagram - but she doesn’t take it sitting down! The pair are known for online jibes, and we love them for it!

Sacha Baron Cohen

Known for the many satirical fictional characters he plays, Sacha Baron Cohen had to be on our list of celebrity pranksters.

Ali G, Borat, Bruno, and Erran Morad are just a few of his on-screen personas, hilariously setting up unexpecting victims.

Ant and Dec

Ant and Dec have been presenting British television together for many years, and are well known for their happy-go-lucky on-screen persona, regularly dedicating slots of their shows to making hilarious jokes and pranking celebrities.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway has been the reason behind many pranks - going undercover to wind up their celebrity friends - like in I’m a celebrity, get out of my ear.

Adele

She’s got a phenomenal voice, but she’s also partial to a good prank too.

Let’s face it, nobody can sing like Adele.

When the British singer disguised herself with a prosthetic nose, she tricked fans and impersonators, into thinking she wasn’t actually Adele. But as soon as she began singing, it was obvious she was the real thing.

James Corden

He will always be Smithy from Gavin and Stacey to some, but he’s now broken the U.S. and known to an international audience as a prankster.

On his Late Late Show, he jokes around with other celebrities - and his laugh is so contagious!

Our favourite prank has to be that David Beckham one, though…

Dom Joly
