Lawyer For Anna Nicole's Daughter Seeks Payment....
The lawyer who represented Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter in the fight over the model's body is seeking payment of almost $200,000 (£100,000).Baby Dannielynn was represented by Richard Milstein in the legal wrangle over where her mother should have been buried following her death in February from a drug overdose.Milstein, who served as a legal guardian to the then five-month-old girl, won the case and adhered to Smith's wish to be buried in the Bahamas next to her son Daniel.However, Milstein is now asking for the legal fees to cover his work.Dannielynn stands to inherit $500 million (£250 million) from her mother, if Smith is posthumously awarded charge of the estate belong to her late husband billionaire tycoon J. Howard Marshall Ii.Marshall II died in 1995 and Smith was in the midst of a bitter legal battle with the businessman's son, E. Pierce Marshall, over who should gain control of his estate at the time of her demise.But the trust fund set up by Smith for Dannielynn, comprised of the tragic star's own savings, holds only $200,000 - meaning the fees demanded by Milstein would strip the child of her entire inheritance.Dannielynne's father Larry Birkhead has filed a complaint to the request.
His lawyer Nancy Hass says, "It's outrageous. I'm a guardian ad litem (legal guardian), too, and I always reduce my fees when I deal with children.
"A lot of work produced (by Milstein) was unnecessary."
Photographer Birkhead was proved to be the father of Smith's baby in April (07) after a lengthy paternity battle with the model/actress' longtime companion, Howard K. Stern.
