Charlie Sheen has hinted he's set to quit his hit U.S. sitcom Two and A Half Men after one more season, telling pals on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (20Sep09) he's had "a good run" on the show.

Just before co-star Jon Cryer was honoured with the Best Supporting Actor prize, Sheen revealed he has been thinking long and hard about life after TV.

Despite regular ratings success on the show, Sheen insists he could walk away when his current contract expires.

He says, "I've got five kids, I've got an amazing wife. There is life outside of showbusiness.

"It's been a great run. This is my last contract year."

Sheen took on the role of Charlie Harper, a jingle writer, since 2003 alongside Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.

With this role Sheen became one of the highest paid actors on television as he is rumoured to receive $825,000 per episode.
