Mel Gibson's girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to a baby daughter called [Lucia] in Los Angeles on Friday (30Oct09), the actor's representative has confirmed.
Reports suggesting Lucia, who was due in December (09), had arrived on Friday (30Oct09) surfaced over the weekend (begs31Oct09) .
Gibson's spokesperson Alan Nierob says, "Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles."
Lucia is Gibson's eight child - he has six sons and a daughter with ex-wife Robyn,
Grigorieva, 39, also has a son, Alexander, with her former boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.
In other baby news actress Mary Stuart Masterson is a first-time mum after welcoming a baby boy with husband Jeremy Davidson, according to online reports.
The Benny & Joon star, 43, gave birth to a baby boy on 11 October (09), according to People.com.
Masterson and Davidson met during a 2004 production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and married in 2006.
The couple announced the pregnancy in May (09).
