Music stars Queen Latifah, Garth Brooks and Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds have joined the line-up at a gig to raise money for a Martin Luther King memorial in Washington D.C. The trio will join Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Carlos Santana at the Dream Concert, which is being organised by Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons and Tommy Hilfiger and will take place at New York's Radio City Music Hall on 18 September. A staggering $81 million (£40 million) has already been raised of the $100 million (£50 million) needed to erect and maintain a memorial to King on the capital's National Mall.A space has been saved between the memorials of former US presidents Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson. Latifah has recently left her music career behind to consentrate on working in movies. She is currently starring alongside John Travolta in Hairspray.She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role of Matron 'Mama' Morton in the cinema version of hit Broadway show Chicargo.
