Shawn Johnson, American gymnast-turned-reality TV star, has been granted a three year restraining order against a man who attempted to break onto the set of Dancing With The Stars to meet her.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ordered Robert O'Ryan to stay at least 100 yards away from 17-year-old Johnson and her parents for the next three years on Tuesday (14Apr09), reports TMZ.com.
O'Ryan, 34, was allegedly caught by security last month (23Mar09) as he tried to hurdle a fence at the show's studios in Los Angeles.
A police search of his car discovered a shotgun and a handgun, as well as duct tape and love letters written to Johnson.
He pleaded not guilty last month (Mar09) to one felony count of stalking and two misdemeanour counts of carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, and is being held on $220,000 (£150,685) bail until his trial date on 27 April (09).
If convicted, O'Ryan faces up to four years in a state prison.
