The 65-year-old reality TV star is "devastated" after he was involved in a four-car pile-up near Malibu, California on Saturday (07.02.15) - which left one person dead and seven others injured - and is being comforted by his family, including stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West, even though "he knows he wasn't responsible."

A source close to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who also has daughters, Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17, and stepdaughters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian with ex-wife Kris Jenner, said: "All the girls checked in with Bruce after the accident. All of them. They all wanted to make sure he was okay and to show their support. They really are trying to be there for him as much as they can right now. This is tough on him."

Law enforcement sources believe a Prius, which was at the head of the line of cars, made a sudden stop, causing a Lexus to crash into it before Bruce then hit the second car, shunting it into oncoming traffic and it was then hit by a Hummer, which killed the driver.

But Bruce, who is reportedly in the process of transitioning into a woman, is struggling to get over the accident.

The insider told UsMagazine.com: "Bruce is devastated. The accident happened right in front of his eyes and he stayed there the entire time watching everything. The woman who passed away was not in good shape and Bruce saw her body being taken out of the car.

"He knows he wasn't responsible but he still feels terrible. This past week was rough for him."
