The 'Game of Thrones' star has admitted she hates it when people think teenagers are "f***ing stupid" and believes it's hard being 17-years-old.

She said: "People think we're f***ing stupid and we don't know anything about anything. It's really degrading.

"I get a lot of adults who are like, 'You don't know s**t,' and it's like, 'You don't know s**t. You have no idea what it's like to be 17 years old.'"

The teenage star also opened up about being a role model to other young people but has insisted she would hate to be known just for being "pretty".

The outspoken actress added: "Whether I like it or not, I've become influential to people.

"I don't wanna be liked just because I'm pretty. That's f***ing boring, and I'm not that. Lots of young people in the industry try to play it cool, but it just makes them look like arrogant d*******s.

"I'd much rather be liked because people realise that I'm standing up for myself."

Meanwhile, Maisie may have found herself a role model to Lupita Nyong'o, after the Oscar-winning actress told her how much she had learned from the young star.

Repeating what Lupita said, she told Dazed magazine: "'It sounds stupid, but I've learned so much from you.

"I watch 'Game of Thrones' all the time and honestly, being so new myself in the industry, I was just watching people who had done this same sort of thing.'"
