With rumours circulating that YouTube personality and boxer Logan Paul would be appearing at this year’s flagship wrestling show, WrestleMania, the controversial figure made an appearance at the weekly WWE event Friday Night SmackDown, confirming he’d be coming to the ‘grandest stage of ‘em all’, despite having some reservations about his ‘friend’ Sami Zayn.

The response to the news was of course, extremely varied. Paul is a personality that many people either love or hate, without any in-between. WWE have done the job right however, in getting people talking about WrestleMania and perhaps bringing in an audience of younger viewers who look up to Paul, who may not have been interested in the sport before.

With Kevin Owens pushing Paul aside on SmackDown, but the YouTuber also already seemingly confused about his own allegiance to Zayn, could we be seeing him actually compete in the squared circle come WrestleMania?

Meanwhile, in the strange old world of British celebrity, ‘comedian’ Jim Davidson took to his Twitter account to rant about somebody burning a Union Flag, which he said should be a crime.

Social media users took the opportunity to poke fun at the guy, who wouldn’t look out of place on FOX News with some of his far-right views.

And whilst this next particular dig may be seen as cruel by some, it certainly did make me chuckle…

Of course, what many people are doing this weekend is enjoying socially-distanced garden parties to celebrate Easter and the light lifting of some coronavirus pandemic restrictions.

People took to their Twitter to celebrate the four-day weekend, with some even dressing perfectly for the occasion!

Here’s to hoping you all have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend.
