Tabasco Cheese: Chicken and Chorizo Cheese Jambalaya Recipe

World famous TABASCO have teamed up with Clawson Dairy to give any dish a kick of flavour with their new Tabasco Cheese.

For all your daredevils out there, it’s great to eat alone but for an even better combination of flavours add it into your cooking!

Here, we have a recipe for a mouth-watering Chicken and Chorizo Cheese Jambalaya, enjoy!

Ingredients

1 tbsp Olive Oil

2 chicken breasts – chopped

1 onion, diced

1 red pepper, thinly sliced

75g chorizo, sliced

250g long grain rice

350ml chicken stock

100g TABASCO® Cheese – grated

Method

Heat the oil in a large frying pan with a lid and gently brown the chicken breasts for 5-10 minutes until golden. Remove and set aside.

Add the diced onion to the frying pan and cook for 3-4 mins until soft.

Add in the red pepper and chorizo and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Add the chicken back into the frying pan with the other ingredients adding the stock.

Cover and simmer for 20-25 mins until the rice is tender.

Once the rice is cooked add in grated cheese and heat until cheese has melted.

Serve immediately adding extra cheese as a topping if required.
