The much-anticipated new game is being teased in beat version before its full launch and gamers with PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as PC users, have been given an idea of what they can expect in a new This week at Bungie blog post.

A message on the blog reads: "While you fight for your very survival in three core activities, we'll monitor the technology that brings us all together. There will be fun and games, but make no mistake: This is a test!

"Your participation is a critical step on our road to launch. To date, thousands of players have sampled the action in 'Destiny 2'. We're about to expand that audience to include millions of brave Beta testers. Now, it's your turn to play."

Earlier this month, meanwhile, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed that 'Destiny 2's long-term support will be more robust than its predecessor.

Hirshberg wasn't satisfied with the way 'Destiny' was supported with expansions after it was released in 2014 - and he has stressed that things will be different the second time around.

He said: "I have not been happy with the cadence [of new content]. We got a lot right with 'Destiny 1', but one of the things we didn't do was keep up with the demand for new content."
