EA Sports has announced the improvements to Career Mode in 'FIFA 18'.

The new installment of the annual football franchise will be released on September 29 and players who enjoy guiding their favourite team through a league season have a host of new features to enjoy.

The biggest improvements to the mode revolve around transfers with negotiations now taking place in real-time with an interactive cut scene as opposed to the old method of submitting an offer for a player and then having to wait for a response. The developers hope this will replicate the excitement of transfer deadline day in leagues around the world as the selling club and the player's agent will all be involved.

Once a transfer is completed, you'll be treated to a "dynamic news clip," imitating those seen in real-world sports coverage when a player or manager gives a press conference announcing a new signing.

The "dynamic news clips" will also be shown when a team member wins a Player of the Month award or when the gamer wins a trophy.

Training has also been expanded with over 15 new skill games added to improve the stats of your side. Players can also create their own drills and assign them to specific players or groups of players and this allows them greater control over youth player development and injury recovery.

Alex Hunter is also returning in The Journey II, which will continue the story set up in 'FIFA 17' which saw the player break through into the first team of the club of your choice and become an established star.

The acclaimed game mode will once again utilise the Frostbite Engine for graphics and focuses on whether or not Hunter will accept a big money transfer.

'FIFA 18' - which has Cristiano Ronaldo as the cover star - comes out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 29, although customers who pre-order the 'Ronaldo Edition' or 'Icon Edition' will get to play it three days early.
