George Clooney first grabbed our attention as sexy Dr Doug Ross in hospital drama ER. Woman everywhere spent most of the 90s dreaming about the day when the world's hottest paediatrician would have to give them the kiss of life. More than a decade later we still wouldn't say no to a bit of Clooney mouth to mouth. George's career had a slow start as he spent many years cycling from audition after audition on his push bike until he finally landed the ER eole in 1994. This was only the start of things to come and after 5 years on the hit show George moved on to start a successful film career. After leaving ER, Clooney starred in major Hollywood successes, such as Three Kings, The Perfect Storm, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?. In 2001 he wowed us all in a dashing tuxedo in Ocean's Eleven, a remake of the 1960s Rat Pack film. An aging Clooney still held is own alongside a hottie cast including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia. To this day, it remains Clooney's most commercially successful movie, earning approximately $444,200,000 worldwide. The film spawned two sequels, Ocean's Twelve in 2004 and Ocean's Thirteen in 2007. Sweetie George is a big animal lover, but doesn't have much luck with pets. He had a 300 pound Vietnamese black bristled, potbellied pig, named Max, that had lived with him for 18 years. Max died on December 1, 2006. He also had two bulldogs named Bud and Lou who both died too (one from a rattlesnake attack). George is yet to settle down with a nice girl (there's plenty in the Female First office to choose from George!). He has been married once, to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993. He says he will never get married again, nor have any children (until he meets us!). Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman reportedly each bet him $10,000 that he would be a father before he turned 40. They were both wrong, and each ended up paying up. He returned the money, betting double or nothing that he won't have kids by age 50. It's rare for such a hottie to be free and single these days so George is a special treasure to be cherished- so we've awarded him the coveted Hottie of the Day title.
