This little bottle has become an absolute god send for me, I loved it. I recently came back from holiday and was looking for something to recreate my beach hair and this did it perfectly. The great thing about it is that you can apply to dry or wet hair to give your hair an instant boosting effect and textured look. If you’re looking for subtle waves then it’s best to apply when wet and then twist your hair round your fingers, as doing this when it’s dry doesn’t work as well. It’s not sticky and it does exactly what it says on the tin – stays matt! My hair stayed volumised all day and looked stylishly wind swept, earning me lots of compliments. If you’re a fan of messy hair then this is a must for you, get your for the bargain price of £3.59 from Boots.

Splurge: Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray

This product had received glowing reviews so I was expecting something pretty special from it but I’m afraid it wasn’t the one for me. It didn’t give me the matt look that I prefer and it was sticky and made your hair quite stiff. This product definitely worked better when using it on damp hair rather than dry, but I found that if I blow-dried my hair when using it then it would just turn my hair to frizz. It did give some volume but nothing like its L’Oreal rival. I have no doubt that on thin hair this product would work wonders, but with my hair being very thick and heavy, it just didn’t have the same effect. The massive plus of this product was that it created great waves when left to dry naturally, something that I really enjoyed. If you feel like treating yourself, get yours for £19.50 from lookfantastic.com along with a wide range of hair care products.
