It takes a lot to get me out of bed in the morning but this shower gel really did give me a boost. It’s packed with black pepper and ginseng and although I have no idea what kind of waking properties those ingredients behold, they really did work! The smell was lovely, sort of a warming smell which really did awaken my senses. It lathers up nicely and leaves your skin feeling fresh and tinglingly clean. Basically it’s a nice little wake-up call and will set you up for the day ahead. Get yours for £2.15 from Boots.

Splurge: Elemis Revitalise Me Shower Gel

Although I did like this product, it certainly didn’t make me jump into my day all guns blazing. It has a nice smell but it was subtle, something I think doesn’t work to well in revitalising shower gels because I think it’s mostly the smell that gives you that little buzz. It did refresh my skin although it took quite a lot of the stuff to make it lather up properly. If I was given this as a gift I would be happy and it would certainly get some good use, but I don’t think I’d stretch to the £17.00 price tag myself!
