Lily Allen's a fan of Emotional Freedom Technique

Lily Allen has taken up tapping, as a way to shift and keep off those extra pounds that she just can't seem to lose, despite dieting and using hypnotherapy in the past.

The 'Smile' singer turned heads in Paris last week, as she turned up to the Dior show looking svelte and chic and revealed that and alternative therapy called 'tapping' was behind it.

We have a closer look at Tapping and some other celebs, who employ weird diet tricks to stay trim. This should make us all feel a hell of a lot better about our figures, ladies...

Lily Allen

Lily has been taught to tap certain parts of her body, to help her curb her cravings for sweet and fatty foods, through a method called tapping. Emotional Freedom Technique explores weight-loss with the help of psychology and acupuncture, but without needles. It must be working for Lily, as she's already lost 5lbs.

Heidi Klum

The gorgeous model is very strict with her regime, which includes taking naked pictures of herself from all angles, to analyse her lumps and bumps, and supposedly this will deter her from reaching for the doughnuts. We say that she must have lots of willpower, and must like to look at herself a lot.

Katie Price

The juice diet, as used by Katie to shift her extra baby pounds involved the model mixing together, avocados, pineapple, spinach and celery sticks. We can't really imagine how someone can bare to drink that twice a day for however many weeks involved, but it clearly did the trick for Katie, as she was back to her pre-baby shape in no time.

Beyonce

Her maple syrup diet became the most talked about diet of 2006, when the singer drastically reduced her calorie intake to just maple syrup, cayenne pepper, water and lemon mixed together. That replaces all your meals for two weeks, because after then it is medically unsafe to continue, and lets face it, we'd all be too weak to enjoy the rapid weight loss anyway.

Liz Hurley

Possibly the most bizarre of the lot, is Liz Hurley's diet using children's cutlery to reduce food intake. Apparently it tricks the model/actress into thinking she's eating more than she really is. Plastic knives and forks are no way to enjoy a meal we say!
