Jerry Hall

Jerry Hall

Following the news last week that Jerry Hall had re-signed with the modelling agency, which brought her fame and fortune, we thought we'd take a closer look at Jerry's career.

Signing up to Ford Models once more has been considered to be a very smart career move for the supermodel, as the interest her is likely to increase thanks to her recent Chanel campaign.

We reported back in December about her rumoured appearance, and then confirmed it a few weeks later, with Jerry boldly declaring she didn't mind being the older woman on set.

Well, when Karl Lagerfeld personally chooses you for the campaign, you're likely to have quite a bit of confidence, and her saucy shots for the catalogue proved just how professional a lady she is.

It's easy to forget that American Jerry is one of the original supermodels to really make an impact, especially with the likes of Agyness Deyn and Jourdan Dunn now ruling the roost on the fashion scene.

But you have to remember, at one point Jerry was reportedly commanding in excess of $1000 per day, thanks to her trademark long blonde hair and height, which quickly made her one of the most visible and photographed models in the industry.

Appearing on the likes of Italian Vogue and Cosmopolitan, in addition to 40 other covers by 1977 proved how much of a hit she had become, and it was during this year that she met a certain Mick Jagger.

Considered by most as the ultimate couple of rock, the pair's infamous relationship arguably sent Hall's already high-profile skyrocketing, and by the time she had given birth to Elizabeth, she was already moving into the world of TV and film.

With renewed interest in her as a model however, we think the 52-year-old should go back to what she does best, and give some of the younger wannabes a run for their money.

She could even use Lizzy's fashion connections if she wanted, as her gorgeous daughter has managed to make it to the top, without the aid of her famous parents.

We'd love to see Jerry and Lizzy cosying up at Christmas for one of those M&S ads, and with Jerry's career continuing to go from strength-to-strength, we think it could be a distinct possibility in future!
