Mischa Barton is the spokesperson for a new clothing swap shop project.
The former OC actress explained the idea behind VISA Swap in a recent interview. The idea is that people trade in their unwanted fashion purchases to a temporary shop in Knightsbridge and swap with other people.
Anything which remains unsold goes to the recycling charity TRAID.
Barton said:" I love trading clothes with friends and it is a great way to get new looks while off- loading stuff you are bored of."
"I love the environmental side of it; nothing is wasted."
The Times also reported that designers including Phoebe Philo, Alice Temperley and Philip Treacy have already donated pieces.
Barton has given a pair of Roberto Cavalli linen shorts, leather boots and a navy Chanel skirt.
