Damien Hirst has designed a jewellery line.

The modern artist, infamous for his carcasses suspended in formaldehyde, has created a limited edition range of charm bracelets.

There are ten solid gold available and 50 sterling silver and prices range from a staggering £15,000 to £25,000. Each bracelet is numbered, engraved with Hirst’s autograph and feature his signature pills.

When asked by vogue, should the wearer frame rather than wear the pieces, he said it was a matter for the individual and would not mind either way.

“No, not at all, it's up to the owner to show it as they like. But by far the best place to show it is on the wrist.”

“It was designed to be worn.”
