Nails inc. founder Thea Green was part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours list andhas been honoured with an MBE for services to the beauty industry.

Having had regular exposure to fashion designers and how they work, combined with the ability to manufacture new colours on a whim, has given us quite a unique edge within the nail industry.

Having founded Nails inc. in 1999, Thea has ensured that the popular brand has remained an independent, wholly British owned family business.

The successful company still remains headed up by the 35 year old mother of three and is now employing 400 people with 57 outlets across the UK and Ireland.

Nails inc. have made a name for themselves within the fashion industry by working London Fashion Week and creating bespoke nail colours for designers such as Issa, Luella, Gareth Pugh and, PPQ and collaborated on a 3 colour collection for shoe designer Georgina Goodman for S/S 09.

Thea suggests that this relationship with designers has given Nails inc. an edge in the nail polish market. She explained in a statement,

“Having had regular exposure to fashion designers and how they work, combined with the ability to manufacture new colours on a whim, has given us quite a unique edge within the nail industry."

Nail polishes have become the ideal non-committal and affordable fashion accessory Thea explained,

"Last year we launched 4 new nail colours every 6 weeks from midnight navy to acid yellow. It keeps our fashion conscious customers very happy, as they know they can expect the unexpected when it comes to new nail shades.”
