Queen Elizabeth's style has sparked a fashion show
Last year's heritage trend saw the Queen become an unlikely style icon and now her majesty is to capitalise on this with her own fashion show.
The Queen will even pick the outfits herself after been unhappy with those originally selected by Royal Collection staff.
A source told The Daily Mail: "The Queen didn't like some of the proposals and because no one knows her wardrobe, or indeed her mind, better than Angela [Kelly, her personal assistant], she and Miss Kelly are collaborating on it together.
"Apparently some suggestions were made which it was felt were not right. It's all being handled terribly discreetly to avoid offending anyone, but some items were rejected and counter-suggestions made.
"The fact is Angela is in charge of the Queen's wardrobe and is the curator of her dresses, so she was always going to be in the best position to know what was appropriate.
"This is going to be an important exhibition and the Queen is determined that it is put together right. She trusts Angela's judgment implicitly."
