The 61-year-old veteran model - who launched her eponymous skincare and bath company Jo Wood Organics in 2005 - has admitted her mother, Rachel Lundell, largely influenced her love for perfume when she was growing up because she was an "Avon lady" and used to bring back dozens of scented moisturisers.

Speaking about her inspiration, the blonde beauty said: "My obsession with fragrance really started when my mum became an Avon lady in my childhood. I loved all the bottles she would bring home. I would even sniff all the moisturisers as they just smelled so lovely."

However, the television personality has revealed she has "always" boasted a strong sense of smell, even before her parent worked at the longstanding beauty retailer.

She explained: "I've always has a strong sense of smell.

And Jo - who has 38-year-old daughter Leah, as well as sons Jamie, 42, and Tyrone, 33, with her ex-husband Ronnie Wood and son Jamie from her previous relationship with Peter Greene - has admitted she will "never" leave the house without wearing perfume, and has to douse herself in her "favourite" scent.

She explained to Stylist magazine: "Now, I would never leave the house without spraying on my favourite scent Santal 33 by Le Labo. It's the perfect middle ground between feminine and masculine. It's leathery, woody, musky and slightly sweet, all at the same time. It's delicious."

And the skincare guru has revealed her youthful skin is because she has "really" looked after herself over the years.

Speaking previously, she said: "I've really looked after myself.

"It's what everyone should do."

Jo recently turned over a new leaf as she decided to embark on a healthier lifestyle because of her grandchildren.

Speaking earlier this year about the habit, she said: "I need to be as healthy as I can because I have ten grandchildren and running around after them takes up a lot of energy."
