Balmain SS09

Balmain SS09

Yesterday we started our fab spring fashion guide, which gives you the rundown of all things stylish and chic for the month of April.

With British summertime now officially having started, there's no better time to have a spring clean around your wardrobe and to adopt new fashion trends for the months ahead.

We've complied a list of all things hot for SS09, made up of trends, people, designers, and a few odd things thrown in here an there, for you to have a bit of a giggle over.

So let's continue our fabulous countdown with the letter B...

Balmain: The Parisian fashion house are now a force to be reckoned with, after an amazing three collections all gaining international praise. We adored their studded spike shoes for SS09 and their wearable, if slightly gothic gowns. They managed to make the 80s look very cool, and in our view they are largely responsible for popularising the return of that era to fashion this summer.

Bows: The Bows are back in town for the month of April, on hats, headbands, scarves, tops and skirts- in fact if it doesn't have a bow then don't bother with it. Nautical fashion is of course making a comeback for the summer and this lovely trend fits in nicely with it, as it's cute and fun.

Ballerina Beauty: We're going all nude for the summer, with make-up being stripped right back and natural beauty shining right through. Fake tan is a no-no and hair should be swept back in an elegant bun to channel this style.

Beyonce: This lovely lady kicked off her tour in warrior style thanks to designer Thierry Mugler, who gave her some amazing costumes for stage alter ego, Sasha Fierce. You must of noticed Beyonce takes on a new personality when she hits the stage, and Mugler's warrior look is a style to champion this summer.

Bags: Every girl needs a new bag for the summer months, and with so many delectable styles to choose from, you're going to be spoilt for choice. Go for colour and make a statement when choosing a new bag; think feathers, think sequins and think all out glamour this summer.
