Green 60s flight bag, ASOS £85

We have coveted the ladylike vintage designs of bags seen on the runway for the past season, but the question still remains, where do we keep all of our stuff?

We have hectic lives and we need a big bag that will hold all the essentials. Keys, purse, phone, laptop, make-up and the rest of the items that seem to accumulate over time. (Right, Grey bag £39.99 River Island)

Big shopper bags are the best for this, and although we know we can big them up for as little as £2, anybody seen the material ones available? We all know that we like to put our most fashionable foot forward and invest in something that will make it past the unpredictable British weather.

Leather is the most practical material, as it won't ruin in the rain and the longer you have it, the better it looks. So whether you have the time to trawl through the vintage and charity shops find the perfect leather shopper to suit your style. Darker shades work well with most wardrobes and tan is perfect colour for all year round.

The high street offer some great leather options as well. But for real leather you must be willing to pay the price. The Topshop tan leather doctor's bag (above, left) is £80 but will last you longer than you thought, the size means it can be used for hand luggage on the plane as well.

Topshop's leather zebra print is priced at £90. (Above, right) If you prefer not to stick with plain bags, this is perfect for you.

If your going to brave the weather, this beautiful suede shopper is £55 from Urban Outfitters (Left). Suede bags are luxurious they feel beautiful and add a regal air to your outfit.
