As Wills and Kate fever grips the nation new research out today reveals that a third of Brits (33 per cent) secretly fancy having a 'bad ass bride' to keep them on their toes as Kill Bill's 'The Bride' has been named the most loved movie bride.
LOVEFiLM asked over 1,500 film fans to name their favourite movie bride to join in the royal nuptial celebrations and an assassin, ABBA-loving daydreamer and corpse have topped the list.
In second place, awkwardly shy Muriel Heslop (12 per cent) gave hope to all the daydreamers wishing and waiting for Mr Right to come along in the 1994 chick-flick Muriel's Wedding.
Next up the aisle, a grave misunderstanding led to Victor Van Dort declaring that pulses are overrated when he said 'I do' to the Corpse Bride winning her third place and 11 per cent of the votes.
Number four on the list is one for all the old romantics out there, The Princess Bride with nine per cent of the votes a classic fairy tale sure to be a favourite with Britain's very own Princess Bride.
A young bride coping with wedding day stress and an overbearing (and slightly crazy) Greek family definitely deserves fifth place on the list.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding's Toula Portokalos battles her way to eight per cent of the votes closely followed by the world's most indecisive bride Maggie Carpenter in Runaway Bride (seven per cent) at number six.
At number seven and eight are two of the most fashionable brides to grace the silver screen. Sex and the City's Carrie (six per cent) brought the female population to tears when Mr Big left her at the altar, while fashion icon Grace Kelly as Tracy Lord in High Society (five per cent) has inspired many a wedding dress since the film became a classic in 1956.
When American Carrie (the second on our list), arrived on the scene sending Hugh Grant's stiff upper lip all a quiver in Four Weddings and a Funeral she found a place in our hearts creating a cult British rom-com in the process (four per cent).
The second pulse-less bride of the poll and the finalchoice on the list is the creepy looking Bride of Frankenstein with just three per cent of votes.
