Kristen Stewart returns to the role of Bella Swan, the part that made her famous, in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, the first part of the final instalment.

The Twilight franchise will come to a close this time next year so what does the future hold for the popular series’ leading lady?

As it so happens Stewart looks set to have a very successful career ahead of her having already found success in The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys away from the franchise.

The actress has already completed work on On The Road, which is a big screen adaptation of the novel by Jack Kerouac.

The movie is directed by Walter Salles and brings together an all star cast that includes Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen.

However it is the project that she is currently filming that I am already super excited about, despite it not being released until the summer.

And that project is Snow White and the Huntsman as director Rupert Sanders bring a new take to an old and very popular tale.

Stewart takes on the role of Snow White, but this is a Snow White that we have never seen before, in what promises to be a somewhat grim and dark tale.

In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.

Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Sam Claflin and Ian McShane are just some of the names that join her on the cast list - and if the first trailer for the movie is anything to go by this has the potential to be a real winner next summer.

Filming is still underway on the movie and it will hit the big screen at the beginning of June.

2011 will be rounded off with The Twilight Saga: breaking Dawn - Part 2 as the story of Bella & Edward is brought to a close.

But this week’s instalment sees their relationship put to the ultimate test as Bella finds herself unexpectedly pregnant - something that will put her life in danger.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is released 18th November.
