Shia LaBeouf

With the likes of transformers and Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal Skull under his belt Shia LaBeouf is already accustomed to the whole summer action heroes malarkey.

And he may have played second fiddle to Harrison Ford last year in Indy but this time around he is top of the bill with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Sam Witwicky was the character that made LaBeouf a star back in 2007 and, just two years later, he is back to once again fight of the robot invasion.

The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force.

The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark.

Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

Alongside LaBeouf there are a string of familiar faces reprising their roles including Megan Fox as Sam's girlfriend Mikaela. Also back is Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, who now work for NEST an international taskforce that battles Decepticons with the Autobots.

Matthew Marsden, Ramon Rodriguez and Rainn Wilson are also new additions to the cast.

But the shoot proved to be difficult for the young actor as he was hit in the eye by a prop before damaging his hand in a car crash.

Filming had to be halted as LaBeouf underwent surgery on his hand, however after two further operations he revealed that he will never regain full use of the injured hand.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is released 24th June.
