Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

So looking forward to the release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, it really is set to be a summer film not to miss.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is set a handful of years after the first, and sees humanity struggling because of a virus. What happened? How did the human race get this way?

A fantastic new trailer has been released that bridges the gap between the two movies - check it out:

Matt Reeves is in the director's chair this time around, as he takes over from Rupert Wyatt.

Reeves has brought us movies like Cloverfield during his career, and this is his first film since Let Me In in 2010.

There are some new faces to watch out for on the cast list, as Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, and Toby Kebbell are all on board.

Andy Serkis is back however, as he reprises the role of Caesar. I really can't wait to see him explore this character further, as he was the highlight of the first film.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier.

They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

We have already been treated to some terrific blockbusters so far this summer, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is set to be another huge success.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is released 17th July.
