Olympus Has Fallen was one of my guilty pleasure movies of 2013 and I am delighted that a sequel is on the horizon.

London Has Fallen

London Has Fallen

Yes, Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart are set to reprise the role of Presidential guard Mike Banning and President Benjamin Asher for London Has Fallen.

London Has Fallen comes three years after the first film and I cannot wait to experience the action-packed ride that they are going to take us on this time around as more cities and people are in danger.

Sadly, we are going to have to wait until March for the film to hit the big screen, but the brand new trailer for the movie has finally arrived... and it really does promise to be a great action ride:

Butler and Eckhart are not the only familiar faces that are returning for London Has Fallen, as Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Radha Mitchell, and Melissa Leo are all reprising their roles.

However, there are some exciting new additions to the cast list as Jackie Earle Haley, Alon Aboutboul, and Charlotte Riley are all also on board.

While there are plenty of actors returning to the new film, it is all change in the director's chair as Babak Najafi takes over from Antoine Fuqua. London Has Fallen is the third feature film of Najafi' career and the biggest movie he has tackled so far.

The sequel to the worldwide smash hit Olympus Has Fallen begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world.

But what starts out as the most protected event on earth, turns into a deadly plot to kill the world's most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable secret service head (Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.

Olympus Has Fallen was a terrific action film that you could just kick back and enjoy and London Has Fallen is promising to deliver more of the same.

London Has Fallen is released 5th March 2016.
