Aaron Johnson will not be taking on the role of Cyclops in X-Men:First Class.
Rumours had been circling that the Kick Ass star was all set to reunite with filmmaker Matthew Vaughn for the X-Men prequel but producer Tarquin Pack dismissed the speculation.
Speaking to MovieWeb Pack said: "Don't believe everything you read in the papers about Aaron, unfortunately. Aaron's kind of busy, yeah."
X-Men: First Class looks at the early years of Charles Xavier and Magneto, played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Also on the cast list is Kevin Bacon, Rosamund Pike, Alice Eve and Nicholas Hoult.
With Nowhere Boy and Kick Ass under his belt in the last twelve months Johnson has seen his star rocket and is all set to star in Chatroom later this year.
He is also linked to The Phone with Jamie Bell and reprising the role of Dave Lizewski in Kick Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.
