Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried has admitted that she would to have a career like Meryl Streep.

The Mamma Mia actress, who starred alongside Streep in that very movie, is one of the up and coming young acting talents in Hollywood at the moment.

She has enjoyed box office success so far this year with the likes of Dear John and Letters To Juliet but Seyfried was a career that lasts.

Speaking to Total Film she said: "I would like to be one of those actresses who can do anything. I would like to be like Meryl Streep some day, but then I don't know many people in this business who don't have that goal."

She is all set to star in Catherine Hardwicke's big screen adaptation of Red Riding Hood and the actress reveals that it is going to be completely different to what everyone may expect.

"Catherine has a very vivid, clear idea, a beautiful idea of what she wants us to be.

"Very gothic, very dark and unlike 'Twilight'."

As well as the new project from Hardwicke the actress has plenty of other projects in the pipeline including Albert Nobbs, A Woman of No Importance and The Girl Who Conned The Ivy League.
