Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he has got emotional watching the final Harry Potter movie.

The British actor returns to the big screen as the boy wizard for the final time this week in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, which looks set to be one of the biggest movies of 2011.

Radcliffe and the rest of the cast said goodbye to loyal fans at the New York premiere on Monday night - having had an emotional evening at the London premiere last week.

And the actor admits that he does get very emotional when watching the final instalment of the franchise.

Speaking to MTV he said: "What I was impressed by was that it wasn't a sense of nostalgia and emotion caused by my own personal relationship with the films, I was a wreck because of the film itself.

"You've got to have a heart of stone to not find part of it - especially Alan Rickman's performance - heartbreaking, so yeah, I've done my fair share of crying already."

Since wrapping on Deathly Hallows - Part 2 Radcliffe has returned to the theatre for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying as well as completing work on Woman In Black.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 is released 15th July.
