Date Night is the number one movie in the UK after topping the box office this weekend.

The comedy is the latest movie from filmmaker Shawn Levy and stars Steve Carell, Tina Fey and Mark Wahlberg.

In New York City, a case of mistaken identity turns a bored married couple's attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous

Taking over £1.2 million since it's release last week the film was the only movie to break through the £1 million barrier.

Clash of the Titans held onto the number two spot while there was also no change at three as How To Train Your Dragon held on.

Last week's number one movie Dear John fell three places to this week's number four while Kick Ass fell a single place to round off the top five.

There was also no move at six for Roman Polanski's latest movie The Ghost. Gurinder Chadha's new movie It's A Wonderful Afterlife was new at seven.

There was a three place drop for Nanny McPhee and the Big Gang while Alice In Wonderland, which is one of the biggest grossing movies of the year so far, dropped a single place to nine.

A new entry in the form of The Joneses, which stars Demi Moore, rounded off the top ten.
