David Arquette

David Arquette has revealed that it was cathartic returning to the Scream franchise.

The actor is reprising his role as Dwight 'Dewey' Riley in the fourth Scream movie which also sees Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox also returning.

Speaking to People the actor said: "It's really amazing working with Neve [Campbell] and Courteney and [director] Wes [Craven] and all of the crew members that we've known for 14 years.

"There's this weird element that, you know, it's very cathartic for me. It's just kind of going back to where it all started."

It's been ten years since Scream 3 hit the big screen and the movie is set ten years after those events as Sidney is trying to write a book about her experiences.

Arquette has enjoyed television success over the last couple of years with Pushing Daises but has a few movie projects in the pipeline.

He has already completed work on The Land of the Astronauts and Conception. He is currently filming Scream 4 and has been linked to Jeffrey D. Brown's movie Sold.
