Emma Stone has revealed that wants to please fans with her portrayal of Gwen Stacey in the reboot of the Spider Man franchise.
The actress is set to star alongside Brit actor Andrew Garfield and she admits that she wants to do the character justice.
Speaking to MTV the actress said: "There's a part of me that really wants to please people that love Spider-Man or Gwen Stacy and want her to be done justice.
"I hope they'll give me licence to interpret her my way. But that fanbase, I'm one of them, so I completely understand why they would be judgemental of certain things," she said.
"I try not to look [at stories on the Internet] because I do care and I don't want to psych myself out. I kinda have to stay off the internet.
"I'm not thick-skinned enough. I get too sensitive. I don't want it to affect what I'm doing."
It's been another very successful year for the actress with Marmaduke and Easy A under her belt. She has already completed work on Crazy, Stupid, Love, Friends With Benefits and The Help.
