Floria Sigismondi, director of The Runaways, has revealed that she would be interested in directing Breaking Dawn.

Breaking Dawn is the fourth book in the Twilight Saga and a director is yet to be named for the project.

It was revealed last week that Gus Van Sant, Sophia Coppola and Bill Condon has all been shortlisted for the job.

Speaking to MTV Sigismondi said: "Well, I'm just actually starting to read it - it's a little bit darker, so I think it'd be interesting.

"It's really interesting, yeah, maybe a little edgier. Like I said, I just started reading, so I don't know actually where it goes, but it does seem to take on a different imagery and a different level.

"It'd be interesting to do something a little bit differently, but keeping the story and the characters. But it looks like they enter a different world. Bella goes through very different things in the last book."

"I think I'll probably go into some fiction. A little, kind of, made-up worlds and a little more fantastical."

The director has just finished working with Twilight star Kristen Stewart on The Runaways, a biopic picture about the rise of the teenage, female rock band.
