Stephen Sommers has admitted that he is already working on a G.I Joe sequel, despite the movie not having been released yet.

The director behind The Mummy believes that there are more story lines that can be explored. The movie brings together a great cast of Dennis Quaid, Christopher Eccleston, Sienna Miller and Channing Tatum and is the last big blockbuster release of the summer.

He told Cinematical: "Because the mythology is all there, there's a lot of interesting stuff,"

"Like, something you don't know yet is who killed Hard Master. I mean, the hardcore GI Joe fans know that it wasn't Storm Shadow."

"But I hope I get to do a sequel, first of all because I had so much fun with these actors. I go into these movies knowing it's a marathon, not a sprint, and I won't work with a**eholes.

"We had a blast - it was really hard, but we had a lot of fun on the set, so to get to hang out with these people again would be just heaven."

Paramount Pictures have revealed that they will not be screening GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra to critics prior to the release of the film.

GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra is released 7th August.
