Halle Berry has revealed that she is shaving her head for her latest role.
She is taking on the part of Venus Johnson in Nappily Ever After who, after splitting with her boyfriend who refuses to propose, shaves her head and begins to change her life.
She told Essence: "I'm shaving it off!" she said. "I know. Here comes the controversy, but... it'll grow back - I hope!"
The actress also revealed that she is now choosing roles with her daughter Nahla in mind.
"I don't want my daughter to look back at my work and think, 'Mum sold out'.
"I want to leave a legacy that she can be proud of. A film has to be really special for me to leave the house. I have to love it. I mean really, really love it."
Berry gave birth to her first child in March 2008 with her partner Gabriel Aubry,
