Henry Cavill has revealed that he was excited when he put on the Superman outfit.
The British actor is set to take on the role of Clark Kent as Superman returns to the big screen with a franchise reboot.
The movie is directed by Zack Snyder and boasts an all star cast of Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.
Speaking to Total Film he said: "It's extremely cool. There's no other feeling like it. They just put it on.
"I turned around and looked in the mirror and you can't play it cool - you sort of laugh. I thought 'Holy hell, this is it. You're doing it, you're right in the middle of it.'"
And before we see him as Superman the actor will be back at the end of the year with Immortals alongside Frieda Pinto and Mickey Rourke.
Superman: Man of Steel is set for a 2013 release.
