Idris Elba is set to play Nelson Mandela in a new movie.
Called The Long Walk To Freedom the movie is set to look at his early life and political career.
In a statement producer Anant Singh said: 'It has taken many years to find the right actor, however Idris is perfectly cast to play Nelson Mandela - he has the passion, the star power, the African upbringing and, of course, the height'.
The rest of the cast are yet to be named but Justin Chadwick is set to direct the movie.
Idris Elba has seen his star rocket over the last twelve months or so and he went on to pick up a Golden Globe for his role in Luther earlier this year.
He will be back on the big screen this summer with Prometheus and he is currently filming Pacific Rim, which sees him team up with Guillermo Del Toro.
