Jason Bateman has revealed that he would like to go into directing.
Bateman is back on the big screen next month in his new movie The Change Up, which sees him team up with Ryan Reynolds.
But he has already directed episodes of Do Not Disturb, Arrested Development, For Your Love and Two of a Kind and admits that he would like to focus more on directing.
Speaking to AP the actor said: "Directing is the job I would most like to do because it would allow me to exercise all the things that I've learned all these years.
"It's just ultimately much, much more challenging and I'm at a place in my life where I'm just very eager to challenge myself more."
"I'm not feeling lazy or lethargic or that I want to wind things down. I'm more ambitious than I've ever been and feel more excited to contribute creatively than I ever have.
"Directing is definitely the position you want to fill on the set if you want to contribute fully."
The Change Up is the second movie of the summer for Bateman as he has already starred in Horrible Bosses as well as Paul earlier this year.
An Arrested Development movie is in the pipeline in which he would reprise the role of Michael Bluth.
The Change Up is released 16th September.
