Jean Reno

Jean Reno

Jean Reno has admitted that he couldn't sit out of the action scenes in his new movie 22 Bullets as he wants to make his work believable.

The sixty one year old is back on the big screen in the Richard Berry directed movie 22 Bullets and he insisted that he take part in the movie's action sequences.

Speaking to MSN movie the actor said: "My only pride is when I see the movie. I believe first, I don't see the work, I see the movie. I don't see somebody working and trying to be believable.

"I showed the movie to a friend who came from America and he was completely in shock. Bon. That's the real work, that I have, that's the only goal that I have.

"If you see a movie that I've done and you see Jean Reno and you see that it's not believable, and you go to the fridge to take a drink, that's shame for me."

In the film Reno takes on the role of Charly Matteï, a man who survives being shot twenty two times. 2010 has been a busy year for the actor who already has movies Armoured and La Rafle under his belt.

He has completed work on Margaret with Matt Damon and Anna Paquin and is set to shoot Fantomas with Vincent Cassel.

22 Bullets is released 3rd September.
