Jeremy Renner has revealed that there was only one stunt that really bothered him when he was shooting Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

The actor is back on the big screen this winter as he joins Tom Cruise for the fourth instalment of the hit franchise.

And Renner did lots of his own stunt work in the film - made nervous by just one.

Speaking to Movieline the actor said: "The only one that affected me outside of the character - even though it didn't require much of me - was the one where I'm hanging out of the Burj Khalifa.

"That wasn't a stunt on my part by any means, but hanging out of that building was terrifying. I had just one little wire and a belt around me [to keep from falling].

"I kept asking, 'You're sure this will hold me, right? Why aren't you paying attention?'

"It was pretty intense for about 30 seconds but then I realised that Tom was just hanging out on that wire laughing, telling me to look at the view."

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol looks set to kick off a great 2012 for the actor as we will also be seeing him in The Avengers - where we will get a proper look at his character HAwkeye.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is released 26th December.
