Jessica Biel has revealed that she auditioned for The Notebook and was disappointed when she missed out.
The actress auditioned for the role whilst working on another movie but Rachel McAdams landed the role of Allie.
Speaking to US Elle the actress said: "The Notebook - that's one that I wanted so badly.
"I was in the middle of shooting Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and I auditioned with Ryan Gosling in my trailer - covered in blood.
"Nick Cassavetes put me through the wringer in an interesting, excitingly creative way. But there's a million that get away. We're gluttons for punishment. It's just rejection."
We haven't seen Biel on the big screen since The A Team last summer but the actress has a whole host of projects in the pipeline.
She will back this Christmas with comedy New Year's Eve while she has also finished work on Nailed, The Tall Man and Playing The Field.
New Year's Eve is released 9th December.
