Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill has revealed that he wanted to make Brad Pitt proud when they worked together on Moneyball.

The pair star together in the Bennett Miller directed movie that is based on a true story - the movie is already gaining some early Oscar support.

Speaking to New York Magazine's Vulture blog the actor said: "Brad's been with this movie for a long time. It's something he's so passionate about.

"He stuck with it through many incarnations of the film. So you really want to do him proud. You don't want to be the puzzle piece that messes up the puzzle, so I felt a real dedication to making Brad and Bennett proud.

"And part of that was making sure that we had a palpable connection."

Robin Wright and Philip Seymour Hoffman are two of the other names on the cast list while Aaron Sorkin is back with his first screenplay since The Social network.

And Moneyball is just one of the projects on the go for Hill as we are also set to see him in The Sitter and 21 Jump Street.

He is currently filming Neighbourhood Watch, which also stars Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn.

Moneyball is released 25th November.
