Jude Law has revealed that he and Robert Downey Jr would love to make a third Sherlock Homes movie.

The pair are back later this year with Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows - with Guy Ritchie back in the director's chair.

Law will reprise his role as Watson and Downey Jr Holmes. And while the second movie hasn't hit the big screen yet they are already looking ahead to further movies.

Talking to MTV News Law said: "We were talking so much about the possibilities of more, and loads of ideas and situations, on the first one.

"We've got even more ideas now, and I hope we're going to be allowed to do another one again."

There are some new faces to the cast this time around as Jared Harris takes on the role of Professor Moriaty while Noomi Rapace and Stephen Fry will also appear.

As for Law he has already completed work on Contagion and Hugo Cabret and has The last Voyage of Demeter and 360 in the pipeline.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is released 16th December.
