Jude Laws says that there is a new Sherlock Holmes script in development but he has no idea when the film will go into production.

Law and Robert Downey Jr last took on the roles of Watson and Holmes back in 2011 and once again enjoyed huge box office success.

And while the Brit actor believes that it is a partnership that still has some distance he doesn't know what the future holds.

Speaking to Collider the actor said: "There's certainly talk of it, and I know there's a script being played around with. But Downey's a busy boy, and I'm a busy boy, so we'll see."

"We're a very happy team and we have a lot of fun, and we also think there's still a lot of legs in that duo."

Law has enjoyed success this year with Anna Karenina and will lend his voice to new animation film Rise of the Guardians next week.

He is currently filming Dom Hemingway, in which he will take on the title character, with Richard E. Grant and Demian Bichir.
